Is SourceX legit? Facts owners and partners can verify
Verify, don't trust on faith. SourceX manages data licensing from sourcing and rights review to delivery and payment, does not train AI models, is based in Los Angeles with a Delaware legal address, publishes its terms, and gives companies one all-in price with nothing binding until they sign.
Why should an owner trust a company they have not heard of?
They should not trust it on faith. They should verify it, and a legitimate company will make that easy. SourceX is the enterprise data transaction layer for AI: it manages data licensing for companies, from sourcing and rights review to delivery and payment. It does not train AI models. This page lists facts an owner, counsel or partner can check independently, and what to ask if anything does not match.
There is no track record or testimonial offered here. The point is verifiable structure, not reputation.
What SourceX does and does not do
| Question | Answer |
|---|---|
| What does it do? | Manages data licensing between companies that hold proprietary data and AI developers: sourcing, rights review, delivery and payment |
| Does it train AI models? | No |
| Does the company keep ownership of its data? | Yes. Data is licensed, not sold |
| Is anything binding at the start? | No. Nothing is binding until the company agrees price and terms and signs |
| What does the company pay? | One all-in price, with SourceX's fee included and no separate charges |
| How is the company paid? | A one-time payment, typically within about 60 days of invoicing once the buyer selects the data |
| Who sees the records? | Delivery happens only after an executed agreement and the company's authorization; redaction rules are agreed first |
Facts you can check yourself
- Where it is based. Headquarters are in Los Angeles, California. The legal address is 16192 Coastal Highway, Lewes, Delaware 19958. Compare these with public business records for the state.
- Published terms. The program terms are public at /terms, and the FAQ explains the process. Read them before any call.
- Where the company applies. Companies apply at sourcex.si/apply. A partner's referral link sends the company there with the partner's code attached, so the company applies itself.
- Who needs to agree. An authorized sponsor, such as the owner, CEO, CFO or authorized representative, must be involved.
- How large deliveries move. Large deliveries stay in the seller's own storage or ship on encrypted drives. SourceX does not host multi-terabyte datasets.
Ask for any of this in writing, and compare it with what you see on the official site, not with a link in an unsolicited message.
The fee test
Owners are right to ask about money. In this program:
- The company receives one all-in price. SourceX's fee is included, with no separate charges.
- Referral partners are paid a share of SourceX's fee after SourceX is paid. That reward is never deducted from what the company receives.
- Any request for the company to pay an upfront fee, deposit or unlock charge does not match the published structure. Stop and ask SourceX directly through its official site.
What partners never do
A partner makes an introduction and gives basic fit information. Partners never export, upload or describe confidential records. Nothing in the process requires the company to give a partner login credentials or to pay a partner. If anyone claiming to represent SourceX or a partner asks for either, treat it as a warning sign and verify through the official channels. This is a practical safeguard, not a legal rule.

Questions to ask any new vendor, including this one
- Who is the contracting entity, and does it match public records?
- Who signs, and do they have authority?
- What exactly will be licensed, for what purpose, for how long?
- How are records delivered, secured and deleted?
- What does the company pay, and when is it paid?
- Which questions will you answer in writing?

How partner rewards work
Partners earn 25% of the eligible platform fees SourceX actually collects from the referred company's licensing deals, capped at $100,000 per referred company. The reward is paid only after the buyer pays and SourceX receives its fee; a lead, meeting or signed agreement alone does not trigger payment. No reward is guaranteed. Licensed professionals should check their own rules on referral fees and disclosure, and read the program terms.
When trust is not the problem
If the owner's concern is really about rights, personal data or a pending sale, trust will not fix it. Check the who qualifies page for red flags, and use the company fit checker for a preliminary, non-binding screen.
Next step
Send the owner the terms and the site address, offer a call with their counsel and let them verify before anything else. To introduce a company, register as a partner or have the sponsor apply directly at sourcex.si/apply.

Common questions
Is SourceX a legitimate company?
Check rather than assume. It describes itself as the enterprise data transaction layer for AI, with headquarters in Los Angeles and a legal address in Lewes, Delaware. Verify those against public records, read the published terms, and ask for the contracting entity in writing before any agreement.
Does SourceX train AI models on company data?
No. SourceX manages data licensing between companies that hold proprietary data and AI developers, covering sourcing, rights review, delivery and payment. It does not train models. What the buyer may do with licensed data is set by the agreement, so read the permitted-use terms.
Where does my data go if we license it?
Nothing is delivered until there is an executed agreement and your authorization. Redaction and de-identification rules are agreed first. Large deliveries stay in your own storage or ship on encrypted drives, because SourceX does not host multi-terabyte datasets.
Should I ever pay anything upfront?
The published structure gives the company one all-in price with SourceX's fee included and no separate charges. A request for an upfront fee, deposit or credentials does not match that. Stop and verify through SourceX's official site before responding.
How can a partner help a skeptical owner verify SourceX?
Share the public terms and FAQ, give the official application address, offer a call with the owner's counsel, and stay out of the details. A partner never handles the company's records, so there is nothing for the owner to hand over to you.
