SourceX respects the company's autonomy throughout the process, and no reward is earned by the referrer in such a scenario, as the conditions for payment have not been met.

The company's control

The company maintains full control over whether to proceed, the scope of data they are willing to offer, and the commercial terms they accept. This control extends from the initial discussion through to the final agreement and data provision. An owner can change their mind at any point, from declining an initial call to opting out of a potential deal before a contract is signed, or even later if a buyer payment has not been received.

When is a referral reward earned?

It's important to understand that a reward is not triggered simply by making an introduction or if a meeting takes place. Your reward becomes eligible for approval and payment only after several key stages are completed:

1. The company completes a qualifying licensing deal. The referred company must decide to proceed with a data licensing agreement.
2. Data is accepted and buyer payment is received. The AI buyer must accept the data delivery, and SourceX must successfully collect its fee for that transaction.

What does not trigger a reward?

Changing an owner's mind before these conditions are met means that no reward is due, as the underlying transaction has not materialized. Specifically, a reward is not triggered by:

Submitting a lead or making an introduction on its own. A meeting, a call, or a signed agreement before buyer payment is received.

This structure ensures that referral partners are compensated for successful, completed data licensing partnerships that generate revenue for SourceX, aligning incentives without pressuring referred companies.

Tracking the process

Your referral dashboard provides transparency into the status of each referral. You can see whether an opportunity is estimated, eligible, approved, or paid. If an owner decides not to proceed, the status will reflect that the opportunity did not advance to the point of generating a reward.

SourceX prioritizes building trust and long-term relationships with both partners and data providers. Therefore, the company's decision to proceed or withdraw is always respected without penalty.
