Partners ask what happens after an introduction. This page describes the funnel every referral moves through, so you know what to expect — and what not to promise.
Stage 1: Introduction
A company applies through your referral link, or you submit a direct introduction from your portal. From this moment the company is attributed to you within the attribution window, and you can see it in My referrals.
Stage 2: Qualification
We check the baseline: US-based, established operations, 50 or more full-time employees at peak, and — critically — that the company owns or controls the rights to license its data. Companies that do not meet the baseline are declined early, and you see that status rather than waiting indefinitely.
Stage 3: Evaluation
Qualified companies go through a deeper evaluation of their data: volume, history, formats, exportability and any restrictions. This is the longest stage. A company sitting here is a good sign, but it is not a deal.
Stage 4: Deal
When evaluation succeeds, SourceX structures a licensing agreement between the company and AI labs and data buyers. Terms, pricing and timing are between SourceX and the parties — partners are not part of negotiations.
Stage 5: Payment
Your reward is 25% of the eligible platform fees SourceX actually collects from the referred company's deals, capped at $100,000 cumulative per referred company. It becomes payable only after the buyer pays and SourceX receives its fee — a lead, meeting or signed agreement alone triggers nothing. Approved earnings are paid by bank transfer, and you can follow each step on your Earnings page.
What partners should take from this
- Every stage is visible. My referrals shows where each company stands.
- Nothing is guaranteed before payment. Describe rewards as conditional — always.
- Credit is protected. The first valid referrer whose introduction leads to a verified application within the attribution window holds the credit.
