Navigating the landscape of data licensing for AI can be complex, and ensuring a smooth referral process begins with identifying the right companies. As a legal operations advisor, you're uniquely positioned to understand which businesses hold valuable data. This worksheet helps you quickly screen potential referrals against SourceX's baseline qualifications.
SourceX is the enterprise data transaction layer for AI, managing data licensing from sourcing and rights review to delivery and payment (F09). Our program rewards partners like you for successful introductions (F01).
Why Use This Worksheet?
This simple checklist ensures that the companies you refer align with SourceX's fundamental requirements. By pre-screening, you save time for both yourself and your referrals, focusing efforts on the most promising opportunities. Your reward is a share of SourceX's fee and is never deducted from what the company receives (F07).

Understanding the Criteria
- US Company & Employee Count: SourceX focuses on US companies with a robust operational history, indicated by having 50+ full-time employees at peak (F06). This ensures they have the scale and infrastructure often associated with valuable data assets.
- Years of Operating Records: Data quality and consistency are paramount. Companies with established operating records typically possess richer, more reliable datasets. This goes beyond simple data ownership; it speaks to the historical depth and integrity of their information (F06).
- Rights to License the Data: This is a critical legal and commercial point. The company must have clear legal authority to license its data. This ensures that any subsequent licensing agreements are sound and free from encumbrances (F06).
- Authorized Sponsor: Successful data licensing initiatives require internal champions. An authorized sponsor signifies that the company is genuinely prepared to explore and engage in data transactions (F06).
How Rewards Work
Partners earn 25% of the eligible platform fees SourceX actually collects from the referred company's licensing deals (F01). Rewards are capped at $100,000 cumulative per referred company (F02).
Rewards become payable only after the buyer pays and SourceX receives its fee. A lead, meeting or signed agreement alone does not trigger payment (F03). Attribution for a referral goes to the first valid referrer whose introduction leads to a verified company application within the attribution window (F04).
Anyone can join the program from any supported country (F05). We encourage licensed professionals to check their own rules regarding referral fees (F05).
