The Power of Metadata for Enterprise Data Licensing
For enterprise companies looking to license their valuable data, a crucial first step is understanding what data they possess. This can be a complex undertaking, especially when dealing with vast amounts of communication data like emails. To facilitate this process and simplify introductions to SourceX, we've developed a metadata-only Gmail inventory template. This resource allows companies to outline their data holdings without ever exposing the actual content, ensuring privacy and security.
Why a Metadata-Only Approach?
SourceX is the enterprise data transaction layer for AI, managing data licensing from sourcing and rights review to delivery and payment. We work with US companies that have 50+ full-time employees at peak, years of operating records, rights to license the data, and an authorized sponsor. When a company is considering licensing its data, the initial exploration should be secure and confidential.
A metadata-only template provides a structured way for companies to assess their internal data assets. It helps identify potential licensing opportunities by focusing on what data exists, where it is, and when it was created, rather than what the data actually contains. This approach is essential for initial discovery and ensures that sensitive information remains within the company's control.
Partner Confidentiality: No Access to Company Data
One of the most critical aspects of the SourceX referral program is the strict protection of company data. As a partner, you never handle, view, or have access to any company's proprietary data. Your role is to introduce eligible US companies to SourceX. The metadata-only template is a tool for the referred company to use internally or with SourceX directly, to articulate their data holdings in a structured way.
Your reward is for making the introduction, not for processing or handling data. Partners earn 25% of the eligible platform fees SourceX actually collects from the referred company's licensing deals, with rewards capped at $100,000 cumulative per referred company. Rewards become payable only after the buyer pays and SourceX receives its fee. A lead, meeting or signed agreement alone does not trigger payment.
Gmail Inventory Template: Metadata for Introductions
This template is designed to help companies, particularly their Workspace administrators, conduct an internal review of their Gmail records. It focuses on identifying categories of data that could be relevant for licensing without revealing any content. This makes it a perfect resource for initial discussions and understanding the scope of potential data assets.
