Refer marketing agencies with documented operating knowledge

Marketing agencies with proprietary operational data can be excellent referral candidates for SourceX's data licensing program, provided they meet criteria for operating maturity, data ownership, and relevance to buyer demand.

Refer marketing agencies with documented operating knowledge

Marketing agencies often develop extensive proprietary operational data, including standard operating procedures (SOPs), project histories, internal knowledge bases, and documentation of client workflows. This material, created by the agency itself, can be highly valuable for AI buyers seeking insights into industry best practices and operational intelligence.

SourceX partners can introduce marketing agencies that own such data and are willing to explore licensing partnerships, potentially generating rewards for successful referrals.

What makes a marketing agency a strong referral?

Successful referrals for marketing agencies typically share several key characteristics. These align with the general criteria SourceX uses to evaluate potential data licensing partners:

Operating Maturity: Many buyer programs seek companies with established operations, often with roughly 20 or more full-time employees and several years in business. Agencies with a longer track record demonstrate stability and a robust body of operational data. Original Documentation: The most valuable data comes from the agency's own creation, such as internal playbooks, campaign methodologies, client communication templates, or proprietary tools and processes documentation. This is distinct from client-specific campaign data or personal consumer information. Rights to License: The agency must own the material or have the clear right to license it without breaching client confidentiality, employee privacy, or existing contracts. This is a critical legal and ethical consideration. Authorized Sponsor: An owner, executive, or other designated decision-maker within the agency must be willing to discuss and approve a potential data licensing partnership. Relevance to Buyer Demand:* The agency's operational data needs to match the specific requirements of a current buyer program. SourceX assesses this during its review process.

Agencies that primarily want to sell individual client campaign results or do not have well-documented internal processes may not be the best fit. Similarly, material belonging to clients rather than the agency itself is generally not suitable.

How SourceX evaluates marketing agency referrals

When you introduce a marketing agency, SourceX conducts a thorough review to determine its suitability. This process typically involves:

  1. Initial Assessment: Checking the agency's operating history, size, and general fit against buyer program criteria.
  2. Data Documentation Review: Evaluating the nature of the proprietary operational data, such as SOPs, internal knowledge bases, project histories, and QA records.
  3. Data Rights Verification: Ensuring the agency legally owns the material and can license it without conflict.
  4. Buyer Program Match: Identifying if the agency's data aligns with the specific needs of current AI buyers.

The agency retains full control throughout this process, deciding what scope of data it is willing to provide and agreeing to commercial terms. Nothing is shared without the agency's express approval. Learn more about who qualifies.

Your role in referring a marketing agency

As a referral partner, your primary role is to make the initial introduction to an eligible marketing agency. You do not need to export, upload, or describe confidential records. The agency itself will engage with SourceX directly to discuss data scope, terms, and the licensing process.

Your dashboard provides transparent tracking of each referral's stage, from "Estimated" to "Paid." A reward becomes eligible for approval and payment only after the referred company completes a qualifying licensing deal, the data is accepted by the buyer, and SourceX receives its fee. Understand how the process works.

Rewards are calculated as 25% of SourceX's eligible collected platform fees, capped at $100,000 per referred company. A lead, meeting or signed agreement alone does not trigger payment. See the program terms.
