This guide outlines the key stages from your initial submission to the point where an opportunity is considered qualified for potential data licensing, which you can track in your partner dashboard.

1. Introduction: Your Referral Initiated

Your journey begins when you introduce a business to SourceX. This can be done by sharing your unique referral link with an authorized contact at the company or by submitting their details directly through your partner dashboard.

What you control: Making the initial introduction. You never need to handle or share proprietary company data yourself. The referred company makes all decisions about their data and participation.

Dashboard status: Initially, your referral will appear as 'Submitted' or 'Pending Review'.

2. SourceX Reviews the Opportunity

Once the introduction is made, SourceX begins its internal evaluation. This critical stage assesses whether the referred company's operational data aligns with current AI buyer demands and our program criteria. We look for several factors:

Operating Maturity: Is the company well-established, typically with a minimum number of employees and years in operation? While 20+ employees is a common benchmark, specific buyer programs may vary. Small, specialized companies can still be a good fit. Original Documentation: Does the company possess valuable, self-created proprietary data such as Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), internal knowledge bases, or project histories? Rights to License: Can the company legally license its data without breaching confidentiality or third-party agreements? Authorized Sponsor: Is there an executive or owner willing to discuss data licensing opportunities?

This stage involves SourceX communicating directly with the referred company to understand their data assets and potential fit. We check for relevance against active buyer programs and assess the overall viability of a data licensing partnership.

Dashboard status: You will see statuses like 'Under Review', 'Evaluation in Progress', or 'Contacting Company'.

3. Qualification for a Licensing Deal

A company is considered 'qualified' when SourceX has completed its initial review and determined there is a strong potential for a data licensing partnership. This means:

The company's profile and data assets meet the general and specific criteria of relevant AI buyer programs. An authorized sponsor at the company is engaged and open to exploring a data licensing agreement. * No major red flags regarding data rights or suitability have been identified.

Qualification marks a significant milestone, indicating that the referred company is now actively being considered for specific data licensing opportunities and discussions are progressing towards commercial terms.

What the company controls: Their willingness to proceed with discussions, define the scope of data they might license, and agree on potential terms. Nothing is ever shared without their explicit approval.

Dashboard status: At this point, your referral's status may update to 'Qualified', 'Opportunity Identified', or 'Deal Negotiation'. You can see the full range of statuses on the rewards page.

Beyond Qualification: Eligibility for Reward

It's important to note that qualification does not yet trigger a reward. Your reward becomes eligible only after the company completes a qualifying licensing deal, the buyer accepts the data, and SourceX receives its fee.
