Spotting Data Referral Opportunities in Microsoft Teams Projects
Microsoft ecosystem consultants can identify referral opportunities by looking for US companies with 50+ peak employees, a history of operations, and data licensing rights, especially during Microsoft Teams engagements. SourceX rewards partners a share of the fees collected when these companies license their data.
As a Microsoft ecosystem consultant, you're deeply integrated into your clients' operations, often working with their most valuable assets: their data. Microsoft Teams projects, in particular, offer a unique vantage point to identify companies that could benefit from SourceX's enterprise data licensing platform, and in turn, earn you a referral reward.
SourceX is the enterprise data transaction layer for AI, managing data licensing from sourcing and rights review to delivery and payment. We focus on connecting US companies with years of operating records and proprietary data to AI labs and data buyers.
Identifying Potential Referrals During Teams Engagements
During your Microsoft Teams projects, keep an eye out for these key indicators that signal a strong referral candidate for SourceX:
1. Company Profile
- US-based operations: We are currently focused on US companies. If your client is a US-based entity, they fit this initial criterion.
- Employee count: Look for companies that have had 50 or more full-time employees at their peak. This indicates a certain scale and likely a richer data history. This doesn't include contractors, only full-time staff.
- Years of operating records: Companies that have been in business for a significant period often possess deep historical data that can be valuable for licensing. Your work in Teams might expose long-term data storage or archives.
2. Data Ownership and Rights
- Proprietary data insights: Does your client generate unique data through their operations? This could be anything from customer interactions, operational metrics, or specialized industry insights. While you never handle the data, knowing they possess unique datasets is key.
- Rights to license: It's crucial that the company holds the rights to license its data. Discussions around data governance, compliance, or even specific data usage policies within Teams projects can hint at their understanding and control over their data assets.
3. Authorized Sponsor
- Key decision-makers: Identifying an authorized sponsor within the company is vital. This is typically a senior executive or legal counsel who can approve data licensing initiatives. Your interactions during Teams implementation often involve these stakeholders.
How SourceX Works and Your Reward
When you refer a suitable company to SourceX, you connect them to a platform that manages the complexities of data licensing. SourceX manages data licensing transactions and does not train AI models. Our headquarters are in Los Angeles, California.
Partners earn 25% of the eligible platform fees SourceX actually collects from the referred company's licensing deals. Rewards are capped at $100,000 cumulative per referred company. The partner reward is a share of SourceX's fee and is never deducted from what the company receives.
Important: Rewards become payable only after the buyer pays and SourceX receives its fee. A lead, meeting or signed agreement alone does not trigger payment. Credit goes to the first valid referrer whose introduction leads to a verified company application within the attribution window.
