Advisor Playbook: Introducing Data Licensing During Helpdesk Migration

Advisors can integrate SourceX's data licensing introduction into helpdesk migration projects by first verifying company fit and then facilitating a direct connection, ensuring data privacy and proper scope approval. This playbook outlines a step-by-step process from initial assessment to introduction.

As a CX consultant, your expertise in optimizing customer experience often involves managing the crucial data residing within helpdesk systems. A helpdesk migration presents a unique opportunity to introduce clients to the potential of data licensing through SourceX, turning historical support interactions into valuable, licenseable assets for AI labs and data buyers.

This playbook outlines a practical, ordered approach for integrating SourceX into your helpdesk migration projects, ensuring a smooth process that respects client autonomy and data privacy.

Step 1: Initial Fit Check – Is Your Client a Good Candidate?

Before any introduction, verify if your client meets the core criteria for SourceX. This saves time for everyone involved.

  • US-based? SourceX focuses on US companies.
  • Employee Count? Do they have 50+ full-time employees at peak? (Contractors do not count towards this threshold).
  • Operating History? Do they have years of operating records, indicating a substantial dataset?
  • Data Rights? Can they legally license the data within their helpdesk system? This is critical for any licensing activity.
  • Authorized Sponsor? Is there an executive or senior leader willing and able to champion this initiative?

SourceX manages data licensing transactions and does not train AI models. Your client's data is never handled by SourceX partners.

Step 2: Educate and Gauge Interest

Once you confirm a basic fit, introduce the concept of data licensing to your client. Frame it as unlocking a new revenue stream from an existing asset.

  • Explain that SourceX is the enterprise data transaction layer for AI, managing data licensing from sourcing and rights review to delivery and payment.
  • Emphasize that the partner reward is a share of SourceX's fee and is never deducted from what the company receives.
  • Highlight that rewards are conditional upon SourceX successfully collecting its fees from licensing deals.

Step 3: Define Scope and Data Anonymization

This is a critical stage. Ensure the client understands and approves the scope of data they might license. Importantly, all personally identifiable information (PII) must be removed from any data before it is considered for licensing. This is a client responsibility.

  • Confirm with the client that all data considered for licensing will be fully anonymized and devoid of PII.
  • The client retains full control over which data sets, once anonymized, they wish to explore for licensing.
  • Crucially: As an advisor, you never handle any of the client's actual data, anonymized or otherwise. Your role is solely to facilitate the introduction.

Step 4: Facilitate the Direct Introduction

Once the client is informed, interested, and understands the data anonymization and scope, facilitate a direct introduction to SourceX. This step focuses on connecting your client with the SourceX team for a deeper dive.

  • Obtain explicit client consent to share their company name and a primary contact for the introduction.
  • Use your unique referral link to ensure proper attribution. Credit goes to the first valid referrer whose introduction leads to a verified company application within the attribution window.
  • Introduce the client to SourceX directly. This could be an email introduction or guiding them to the referral portal to input their details.

Step 5: Understanding Your Reward

For each successful referral that results in licensing deals, you stand to earn a reward.

AspectDescription
:----------------:--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Reward RatePartners earn 25% of the eligible platform fees SourceX actually collects from the referred company's licensing deals.
Reward CapRewards are capped at $100,000 cumulative per referred company.
Payout TriggerRewards become payable only after the buyer pays and SourceX receives its fee. A lead, meeting, or signed agreement alone does not trigger payment.

This structured approach ensures you leverage your position as a trusted advisor to introduce a valuable opportunity to your clients while maintaining professional boundaries and adhering to data privacy best practices. Anyone can join the program, from any supported country. Licensed professionals should check their own rules on referral fees.
