Partner Field Guide: Finding Companies with CRM Records and Deal Outcomes
RevOps consultants can leverage their understanding of data and business operations to identify US companies with extensive CRM records and documented deal outcomes, which often hold valuable data for licensing. Focus on companies that meet SourceX's baseline profile for successful referrals.
This guide helps RevOps consultants identify suitable companies for the SourceX partner program. Your expertise in sales operations and data management provides a unique advantage in recognizing organizations that could benefit from licensing their data.
The Ideal Company Profile for Data Licensing
SourceX is the enterprise data transaction layer for AI, managing data licensing from sourcing and rights review to delivery and payment. We seek specific types of US companies to connect with AI labs and data buyers. Your role as a partner is to introduce these companies; SourceX handles the entire licensing process. You never handle company data.
Key attributes to look for:
- Location: United States-based companies.
- Size: 50+ full-time employees at peak (contractors excluded).
- Operating History: Years of established operating records.
- Data Rights: Possess clear rights to license the data they generate.
- Internal Champion: An authorized sponsor within the company willing to explore data licensing.
Leveraging CRM Records and Deal Outcomes
Companies with robust CRM records and well-documented deal outcomes often possess structured, high-value data. These records can include interaction histories, transaction details, customer segments, product usage patterns, and sales performance metrics. Such data is highly sought after for training AI models and deriving business intelligence.
Consider companies where:
- CRM is central: They heavily rely on their CRM system for sales, marketing, and customer service operations.
- Data is an asset: They view their historical operational and customer data as a strategic asset, even if they haven't considered licensing it externally.
- Defined sales processes: Their sales cycles are well-defined, leading to structured data on lead progression, conversion rates, and deal characteristics.
- Analytical capabilities: They likely already use their data for internal analysis, indicating a familiarity with data management and its value.
Where to Look:
- Existing Network: Review your current and past client lists. Which companies in your network fit the baseline profile and are known for their data-rich operations?
- Industry Focus: Certain industries naturally generate extensive CRM data and deal outcomes. These include:
- Financial services
- E-commerce and retail
- SaaS and technology providers
- Healthcare (ensure compliance and data anonymization potential)
- Real estate
- Public Information: Annual reports, investor presentations, and corporate websites can hint at a company's data assets, their investment in CRM technologies, and their operational scale.
What to Look For (Checklist for RevOps Consultants):
- US Company: Is the company headquartered in the United States?
- Employee Count: Does it have 50+ full-time employees at peak?
- Operating History: Does it have years of established operations?
- CRM Usage: Is a CRM system integral to their sales/customer operations?
- Deal Outcomes: Do they track and analyze sales deal outcomes rigorously?
- Data Ownership: Are they likely to have clear rights to license their operational data?
- Potential Sponsor: Is there an executive (e.g., CRO, CMO, Head of Data) who might be interested in a new revenue stream from data licensing?
