As an ERP consultant, you're uniquely positioned to identify companies that could benefit from SourceX's enterprise data licensing services. We understand the sensitivity of client data, which is why we've designed a metadata-only approach for initial company introductions, ensuring you never have to handle or share proprietary information.
SourceX is the enterprise data transaction layer for AI, managing data licensing from sourcing and rights review to delivery and payment. We focus on connecting US companies with robust historical data to AI labs and data buyers.
The Need for a Metadata-Only Approach
When identifying potential referrals, the key is to determine if a company possesses the right kind of data, not the actual data itself. Our focus is on US companies with 50+ full-time employees at peak, years of operating records, rights to license the data, and an authorized sponsor. This profile often includes companies with significant NetSuite operational history.
This is where a metadata-only NetSuite inventory template becomes invaluable. It allows you to quickly ascertain the existence and scope of relevant data within your client's NetSuite instance, without ever seeing or transmitting actual data values.
What a Metadata-Only NetSuite Inventory Looks Like
This template is designed to capture high-level information that signals data licensing potential. It focuses purely on structural and temporal aspects of data within NetSuite. Here's what it might include:
- Record Types: Identify standard and custom NetSuite record types that hold valuable historical data.
- Date Ranges: Indicate the earliest and latest dates for which significant volumes of data exist within these record types.
- Volume Indicators (Optional, Non-Specific): You might note if a record type has 'low,' 'medium,' or 'high' volume, without specifying row counts or file sizes.
Critically, no actual data values, customer names, financial figures, or sensitive operational details are ever included. The intent is to provide a conceptual overview, not a data dump.
Here’s a simplified, illustrative example of such a template:
| NetSuite Record Type | Earliest Date | Latest Date | Volume Indicator (Illustrative) |
|---|---|---|---|
| :------------------------ | :------------ | :---------- | :------------------------------ |
| Sales Orders | 2010-01-01 | 2023-12-31 | High |
| Customer Records | 2008-05-15 | 2024-01-10 | Medium |
| Inventory Adjustments | 2012-03-01 | 2023-11-20 | High |
| Purchase Orders | 2011-06-01 | 2024-01-05 | High |
| Custom Transaction Records | 2015-09-01 | 2023-10-15 | Medium |
This table gives SourceX a clear picture of the type and duration of data available, which is sufficient for an initial assessment of fit for AI labs and data buyers.
Your Role as a Partner: No Data Handling Required
Your primary role as a SourceX partner is to introduce suitable companies. You identify US companies with 50+ full-time employees at peak that meet our criteria. The partner never handles the company's data. SourceX manages data licensing from sourcing and rights review to delivery and payment, and at no point are partners involved in the transmission or processing of client data.
Once you introduce a company that proceeds with SourceX, you can earn 25% of the eligible platform fees SourceX actually collects from their licensing deals, capped at $100,000 cumulative per referred company.
This metadata-only approach respects client data privacy while enabling you to leverage your expertise in identifying valuable data sources for the AI economy.
