Collaboration consultants play a vital role in identifying companies with valuable data assets. For those companies maintaining detailed document revision histories, there's a significant opportunity to license this data through SourceX. To ensure a smooth referral process and maximize your reward potential, use this checklist before making an introduction.
Is the Company a Good Fit?
SourceX looks for specific characteristics in referred companies. Meeting these criteria upfront helps qualify the lead and accelerates the process.
Company Baseline Profile
- US-based: The company is incorporated and primarily operates in the United States.
- Established Operation: The company has years of operating records, demonstrating stability and a track record.
- Size: The company has 50+ full-time employees at its peak (contractors are not counted towards this minimum).
Data Licensing Rights
For document revision histories, it's crucial the company has the legal authority to license this data.
- Clear Ownership: The company owns or has undisputed rights to the intellectual property and data contained within the revision histories.
- No Encumbrances: There are no legal or contractual restrictions (e.g., existing exclusive agreements, privacy regulations, or third-party intellectual property claims) that would prevent licensing the data.
- Internal Review: The company has conducted or is prepared to conduct an internal legal review to confirm its ability to license the data for AI training or other purposes, without breaching confidentiality or privacy obligations.
Authorized Sponsor
An authorized sponsor is essential for navigating the licensing process effectively.
- Identified Sponsor: A specific individual within the company has been identified who can champion the data licensing initiative.
- Decision-Making Authority: The sponsor holds a position with sufficient authority to commit the company to exploring and pursuing a data licensing agreement.
- Engagement & Interest: The sponsor understands the potential value of licensing their document revision histories and is genuinely interested in collaborating with SourceX.
Understanding Rewards
Partners earn 25% of the eligible platform fees SourceX actually collects from the referred company's licensing deals. Rewards are capped at $100,000 cumulative per referred company. The partner reward is a share of SourceX's fee and is never deducted from what the company receives.
Illustrative Reward Calculation:
If SourceX collects a fee of $10,000 from a licensing deal with your referred company, your reward would be 25% of $10,000. If that deal reaches $100,000 in cumulative fees, that would be the maximum reward for that specific company.
Rewards become payable only after the buyer pays and SourceX receives its fee. A lead, meeting or signed agreement alone does not trigger payment. Credit goes to the first valid referrer whose introduction leads to a verified company application within the attribution window.
