Screen recordings of real software workflows

Screen recordings and interaction logs (clicks, keystrokes and application events) of employees completing real tasks in business software, captured with the agreement of the company and the people recorded. Labs use them to train and evaluate computer-use agents on real applications rather than demo websites.

What a record contains

One task session: the recording, a timestamped event log, the applications and screens involved, the task label and the outcome.

How AI labs use it

Computer-use agents
Real enterprise applications, not demo sites.
Process discovery
How long tasks take and where people get stuck.
Evaluation
Ground-truth action sequences.

Typical preparation requirements

Agreed with the supplier before any work begins. Typical requirements include:

  • Consent from the people recorded, under the company’s policies and local law
  • Personal data on screen, such as customer records and messages, masked
  • Typed values redacted, especially passwords and payment details

Every dataset has a documented owner and confirmed licensing rights. See data governance on sourcex.si.

What makes a strong package

  • Task labels and outcomes
  • Video and structured event logs together
  • Specialized applications such as ERP or claims systems

Compared with public datasets

Public sets such as OSWorld and Mind2Web are useful references, but limited as enterprise training data. The operations and workflows category page compares them with licensed data.

Who typically holds it

  • BPOs
  • Shared-service centers
  • Insurance and claims operations
  • Finance operations teams
