Identify companies with original technical documentation

SourceX helps AI buyers license proprietary technical documentation from businesses. Refer companies with original SOPs, internal knowledge bases, and project histories that own their data rights to potentially earn rewards.

Refer Companies with Valuable Technical Documentation

SourceX connects AI buyers with businesses that possess unique, high-quality technical documentation. If you know companies with robust internal records, standard operating procedures (SOPs), or comprehensive project histories, you can refer them to our program.

What kind of technical documentation is sought?

AI development often requires deep, contextual understanding of processes, systems, and product development. Proprietary technical documentation can provide this. We look for material that represents a company's internal, operational knowledge developed over time. Examples include:

Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs): Detailed guides for recurring tasks and workflows. Internal Knowledge Bases: Comprehensive repositories of company-specific information, troubleshooting, and best practices. Project Histories and Specifications: Records of past projects, design documents, and development notes. QA and Testing Documentation: Protocols, results, and analysis from quality assurance processes. Support Workflows and Manuals:* Guides used by customer support teams or internal users.

Criteria for eligible technical documentation

To be considered for a data licensing partnership, the referred company's technical documentation generally needs to meet certain criteria:

Original Documentation: The material should have been created by the company itself, reflecting its unique operations and expertise. Rights to License: The company must own the material or have clear rights to license it without breaching confidentiality agreements, employee privacy, or third-party contracts. Operating Maturity: Many buyer programs look for companies with a significant operating history and a stable employee base, which often correlates with well-developed documentation. However, specialized smaller firms may also qualify. Authorized Sponsor: An executive or owner who can approve discussions about data licensing. They control whether to proceed and what scope to offer. Relevance to Buyer Demand:* The documentation must match the specific needs of an active AI buyer program. SourceX evaluates this during the review process.

Usually, material that is not a good fit includes personal consumer data, scraped data, or data that belongs to clients rather than the company itself. Self-referrals are generally not eligible.

The referral process for technical documentation

Referring a company with valuable technical documentation follows our standard referral process, designed to ensure clarity and reward eligible partners:

  1. Register: Sign up for the SourceX referral program to get your unique referral link or submit an introduction via your dashboard.
  2. Introduce: Share your link with an authorized contact at the company. You do not need to export or describe confidential records yourself.
  3. Review: SourceX assesses the opportunity, including the company's operating history, data rights, and the relevance of its documentation to current buyer needs.
  4. Licensing Deal: If eligible, the company decides what documentation scope it is willing to provide and agrees to commercial terms. Nothing is shared without its explicit approval.
  5. Buyer Payment: The buyer accepts the data delivery, and SourceX collects its fee.
  6. Reward Eligibility: Your reward becomes eligible for approval and payment once SourceX has collected its fee. You can track your referral's status in your dashboard, from 'Estimated' to 'Paid'.

Submitting a lead or making an introduction alone does not trigger a reward. Payment is contingent on a completed, qualifying licensing deal where SourceX receives its fee. Learn more about how it works and who qualifies.

If you have a potential referral, try the company fit checker for a preliminary, non-binding screening.
