Identify companies with structured field service histories

Field service histories can be valuable proprietary operational data for AI buyers. SourceX connects businesses with such data to buyers, and referral partners earn rewards when these connections lead to successful data licensing deals.

Identify companies with valuable field service histories for referral

Many businesses generate rich, proprietary datasets from their daily operations, including detailed field service histories. This material, often residing in internal knowledge bases, operational records, and project histories, can be highly valuable for AI buyers seeking to train models on real-world, structured operational data.

As a SourceX referral partner, you can earn rewards by introducing companies that possess such valuable data and are interested in exploring data licensing opportunities.

What makes field service histories valuable data?

Field service histories, when properly documented and structured, offer a unique window into operational processes, problem-solving, and asset performance. They can include:

Detailed work logs: Records of tasks performed, diagnostics, resolutions, and time spent. Asset maintenance records: History of service, repairs, part replacements, and performance metrics for specific equipment or infrastructure. Customer interaction notes: Contextual information around service requests and outcomes. Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs): Documentation of how field service is conducted. QA records:* Assessments of service quality and incident management.

For AI buyers, this type of data can be crucial for developing predictive maintenance models, optimizing service routes, improving technician training, or enhancing customer support systems.

Characteristics of a good referral for field service histories

When identifying companies to refer, consider these key characteristics to maximize the potential for a successful referral:

Operating maturity: Buyer programs often look for companies with a substantial operating history, typically with many years in operation and roughly 20 or more full-time employees. This often correlates with a robust accumulation of field service data. Smaller specialists with highly specific or unique data can also be considered. Original documentation: The data should be proprietary – material the company created itself. This includes internal knowledge bases, project histories, QA records, and support workflows. Rights to license: The company must own the material or have the clear right to license it without breaching client confidentiality, employee privacy, or third-party contracts. SourceX prioritizes owner consent and control throughout the process. An authorized sponsor: An owner, executive, or designated individual who can approve discussions about data licensing. Introductions made without a decision maker's knowledge are generally not a fit. Relevance to buyer demand:* The material must align with a real program run by an AI buyer. SourceX evaluates this during the review process.

What SourceX does not consider a fit

Typically, SourceX cannot accept referrals for data that includes personal consumer data, scraped data, or material the company does not directly control. Data belonging to the company's clients, rather than the company itself, is also usually not a fit. The company should not be solely interested in selling a one-off file without documentation or context.

How the referral process works

  1. Introduce an eligible business: Share your unique referral link or submit an introduction directly through your dashboard. You do not need to export or describe confidential records yourself.
  2. SourceX reviews the opportunity: We assess the company's operating history, data rights, and the potential relevance of their field service histories to current buyer programs.
  3. Company completes a licensing deal: If the company proceeds, they control what data scope to offer and the commercial terms they accept. Nothing is shared without their explicit approval.
  4. Buyer payment is received: Your reward becomes eligible for payment after the buyer accepts the data delivery and SourceX collects its fee.

To see if a company might be a good fit, you can use the company fit checker. For more details on how rewards are calculated, visit our rewards page or the FAQ.

Rewards are calculated as 25% of SourceX's eligible collected platform fees, capped at $100,000 per referred company. A lead, meeting or signed agreement alone does not trigger payment. See the program terms.
