As a Managed Service Provider (MSP) or venture advisor, you're constantly looking for ways to add value for your clients. SourceX offers a unique opportunity for US software and SaaS companies to license their data, generating new revenue streams. Our referral program allows you to earn `25%` of the eligible platform fees SourceX collects, up to `$100,000` per referred company.
To help you identify the best potential referrals, we've developed this screening worksheet. It's designed to quickly assess whether a software or SaaS company aligns with SourceX's baseline requirements.
Why SourceX for Software and SaaS Companies?
Many software and SaaS businesses collect valuable data as part of their operations. SourceX is the enterprise data transaction layer for AI, managing data licensing from sourcing and rights review to delivery and payment. We help companies navigate the complexities of licensing their proprietary data to AI labs and data buyers, creating new revenue opportunities without disrupting their core business.
Your role is to introduce suitable US companies that could benefit from this. Credit goes to the first valid referrer whose introduction leads to a verified company application within the attribution window. You become a partner simply by joining our program, and anyone can join from any supported country.
Referral Screening Worksheet: Software & SaaS
Use this worksheet to evaluate potential referrals. A strong candidate will ideally meet all or most of these criteria.
Company Profile Checklist
- US-Based Operations: Is the company primarily based in the United States?
- Employee Count: Does the company have 50 or more full-time employees at its peak? (Note: Contractors are not included in this count.)
- Operating History: Does the company have years of operating records, indicating a stable and established business?
- Data Licensing Rights: Does the company possess clear rights to license the data it collects or generates? (e.g., explicit terms in user agreements, internal data ownership policies).
- Authorized Sponsor: Is there an identified individual within the company (e.g., CEO, Head of Data, General Counsel) who is aware of and authorized to explore data licensing opportunities?
- Proprietary Data: Does the company collect or generate unique, non-public data that could be valuable to AI labs and data buyers?
- Data Volume/Quality: Does the company possess a substantial volume of data, or data of particular quality/uniqueness, that would be attractive for licensing?
Explanatory Notes for MSPs and Venture Advisors:
- Data Licensing Rights: This is critical. Companies must have the legal authority to share and license their data. SourceX manages these transactions but doesn't create the rights.
- Authorized Sponsor: Getting buy-in from a senior, authorized individual is crucial for moving forward with any licensing discussions.
- What SourceX Is Not: Remember, SourceX manages data licensing transactions and does not train AI models. Our focus is on facilitating the secure and compliant exchange of data. The partner reward is a share of SourceX's fee and is never deducted from what the company receives.
Successfully completing this checklist for a client means they are likely a strong candidate for SourceX. Your introduction can unlock significant new revenue for them, and for you.
