SourceX Company Screening Worksheet: Media & Production

Use this worksheet to confirm a potential referral meets the essential criteria. Each check confirms a specific baseline requirement.

1. Geographic Location & Size

  • Is the company headquartered in the United States?

Confirms: This ensures the company aligns with our operational focus, which is currently US-based organizations.

  • Has the company had 50 or more full-time employees at its peak operating period? (Exclude contractors)

Confirms: This indicates a certain scale and operational maturity, suggesting the company has robust internal processes and significant data assets. We're looking for established entities rather than very early-stage startups.

2. Operational History & Data Assets

  • Does the company possess years of verifiable operating records?

Confirms: A strong track record suggests stability and a consistent history of data generation. This is crucial for evaluating the depth and relevance of their data archives for licensing purposes.

  • Does the company own or have clear, documented rights to license the data they produce or hold?

Confirms: This is paramount. SourceX manages data licensing, so the ability to legally license data is non-negotiable. This might include original content, production logs, audience engagement data, or archival footage where rights are clearly held.

3. Internal Authorization & Engagement

  • Does the company have an identified authorized sponsor or decision-maker willing to explore data licensing opportunities?

Confirms: A clear point of contact with authority is essential for productive discussions. This person should understand the value of their data and be empowered to move forward with exploring licensing with AI labs and data buyers.

4. Understanding SourceX's Role

  • Does the company understand that SourceX is an enterprise data transaction layer for AI, managing data licensing from sourcing and rights review to delivery and payment?

Confirms: This ensures alignment of expectations. It clarifies that SourceX facilitates the licensing of their data to AI labs and data buyers, rather than training AI models or acting as a traditional content distributor. The partner reward is a share of SourceX's fee and is never deducted from what the company receives.

How Your Referral Works

When a referred company successfully licenses its data through SourceX and we collect our fees, partners earn 25% of the eligible platform fees SourceX actually collects from the referred company's licensing deals. Rewards are capped at $100,000 cumulative per referred company. Rewards become payable only after the buyer pays and SourceX receives its fee. A lead, meeting or signed agreement alone does not trigger payment.

Anyone can join our program from any supported country, but we encourage licensed professionals to check their own rules on referral fees.

By utilizing this worksheet, production advisors can ensure their referrals are well-aligned with SourceX's requirements, increasing the likelihood of successful partnerships and, consequently, rewards.
